Message Board - Machinery: Advice wanted on new engine for SISIS AutoGreenman

2 Feb 2010 by philipfish

Hi All,
I am looking to replace the engine on my Sisis AutoGreenman (AGR/343?) - it being so unrelaible and the weather unsuitable I have not managed much spiking on my tennis court this winter.

I am thinking of a Honda GX100 or GX120 or similar (avoiding the Chinese immitations). Has anyone any advice or experinces they would like to share?

No replies!
I am thinking of going for the Honda GX120 (4hp), but this has a 3/4" shaft and the Greenman needs a 1" shaft. Will be able to use some sort of convertor?

I also now have Opperators manuals for both the AutoGreenman and the TriRotorake for anyone interested.

Correct h2m. In fact everybody should save that link as you will need it one day.

The reason you need a 1" diameter shaft is because you need more torque than the GX140 can produce.

I'd be interested in reading the manuals.
