Message Board - Machinery: Ferris or Scag?

I am in the market for a zero turn walk behind mower for use on banks.
I have narrowed my search to either the Ferris Duel Drive or the Scag SWZ Hydrodrive (both fitted with a 48" rotary deck).
Have had demo`s of both and both perform well on our steep banks the Ferris is just in front at the moment.
I would welcome any comments you may have on either machine.

PS My Bursar will not give me £28K for a remote control machine.

My preference would be Ferris I have had a lot of dealings with them in the past even been to the factory in USA, not sure about the current sales team but the man at the top is a good guy.

Ive got one ferris and i'm just about to buy another hard as nails and user friendly. I know the feeling supersonic. I find pushing health and safety is a good way of getting bursurs attention. ian

prices from dealer to dealer I have found vary greatly, see what deal you can get?

Well I am leaning towards the Ferris thanks for your comments guys, being a Yorkshireman my dealer just needs to sharpen his pencil a little more.
