How much molasses are people applying per hectare in a spray form. i want to apply some throughout the season and have 4ltrs from a farming supplier, is this not enough or ok. i want to put it down with some seaweed and humic acid so does it tank mix well? Also when are people using it and how often? Throughout the year or only growing season?

cheers

Hi Will,

Many will have their own idea on how much they think is sufficient. Me I apply 5 ltr/ha. It thins down easily in a bucket of water and a quick stir. If I add it to a compost tea when brewing, then I only use about 100ml.

Molasses can be used throughout the year, mixes easily with humic acid and/or seaweed extract. I buy mine in a 200lt drum and cost about £130.
