Message Board - Golf: Water Hazard
25 Feb 2010 by Nifty
I expect like me you're all pretty fed up with this long cold wet winter but at least we don't have deal with course hazards like this one in Willows Golf Resort in N Queensland ,Oz :-
An Australian golf course boasts the world's most dangerous water hazard: a lake with a 1.8 metre (six foot) crocodile.
The croc, nicknamed Steve, has been lurking at Willows Golf Resort for more than a week, attracting near-daily sightings but a conspicuous lack of panic.
"It's not scaring anyone -- it's par for the course in North Queensland," shrugged manager Adrian Lawson. "North Queenslanders are used to seeing this kind of thing."
It struck me what a strange name to give to a croc - "Steve" ?
Its got to be purrrfect

The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under who’s shade you do not expect to sit.

Probably after that Aussie bloke who used to tickle croc tummies for a living, he was called steve I think.

Steve
