The best bio-stimulant is aeration, lots of it in a variety of depths and tines.
The best selective weed killer will depend upon which weeds you need to eradicate as some are more effective than others on the more difficult weeds such as clover and plantains.
In a domestic situation you will be somewhat restricted.

I agree with Steve63 cant go wrong with a bit of aeration get that fork out. As for the weedkiller there is a way round this,go to www.lawnspecialist.co.uk look in there shop. Lawn Fertiliser- Specialist Fertiliser and get some scotts Renovator Pro which is a weedkiller and fertilizer combined. Its better then what you buy in the shops, and while you are there pick up a Spreader from the Home Garden Spreader section.
Good Luck
Buster

Although it ought to be said in the interest of neutral balance that there are a few other suppliers out there also with as vast or equivalent range of products, equally as good a customer service set up, excellent delivery and back up and as per our hosts competitive pricing......

Well Buster I thought it was a bit 'rich' of you to be registered here for 18 months (with plenty of time to explore this website and discover the services & products offered by our host) and the first time ever you post anything on the forum you send our member to view a rival supplier's site. Do you have any connection with the said site perhaps?

Reminiscent of the bloke who recomended the artificial line marking in grass pitches as being a great product and was then exposed as the franchise holder for the product in Ireland and was never heard of again....!

Lo and behold, the first line reads:
