we intend adding tons of sand in the next couple of weeks t/
o our 2 yr old football pitches,drainage is good on one and we intend verti drains to the other can a machine be hired to spread the sand evenly over the pitches and approx how much sand would be reqd for each senior pitch ?oh and lasty how much /ton would the approx cost be Many Thanks

60 tonnes per pitch is a good start. Get a contractor to spread it for you, then drag mat it level.

Ain't got a clue re price. Used to be £20 per tonne...

Derrick, if you can find out what sand, if any, was used in the construction of the pitches, compatibility with this should be your highest priority on sand source/grade and depending where you are located in UK SPORT grade sand can range from between £16-30.00 ish delivered only depending on haulage costs.
