Hi fellas
Iv'e got a set of Allett Gang mowers and the rear rollers are knackered.
Basically the bearings have fallen apart and require replacement but iv'e been told that there no longer available for repair by a local mechanic.
To replace them would cost £700 and my boss won't budget for that.
Any suggestions would be much appriecated. we're in the South East.

Villager,
Have you contacted Allett direct? Could try RTM at Aylesbury. Or Graham at Staysharp. About time you guys moved up to a triple anyway, get an ECB grant, they give em away or they did up the hill at CCCC.
Vic.

Villager,
Can't help you sourcing parts, but am pretty sure the Allett Gang Mowers if they are the Ranger type were originally made by Greens of Scotland and rebranded as Allett when they got taken over by the Reekie Group and Allett moved from Corby, Northants up to Scotland.
Our club had three of these Greens Ranger 30" gangs dating from the late 60's but they were sold a number of years ago. The Greens connection may help you source parts.
Incidently the parts list is still downloadable from the Allett site.
Back in the good old days, Allett would make you parts if they were obsolete, not sure what the score is these days though.

Thanks Guys
Have enquired with various companies and Turner Groundscare have been able to quote me a price.
The Roller comes complete and is being manufactured in Scotland so BJDrum your Greens of Scotland are more than likely making the Allett rollers for me.
Cheers guys and Victor hope the pre-season work is going well.
