Message Board - Machinery: Want to hire top dresser, Andover Hamsphire

1 Sep 2010 by philipfish

Hi All
No, I'm not after a "bloke in a smart suit" but want to hire a pedestrian top dresser (Sisis or Turfco F15B or like) to assist in applying 3 tons of loam to a tennis court. I live near Andover in Hampshire.
thanks

Phil

Try DGM. Torquay 01803672124

As you are at Andover, I suggest you try Golf and Turf of Wokingham - hire depot is 8 miles east of Newbury (near Beenham) so probably barely 30 minutes away from you. Man to contact is Mark Noble.
We just hired their TurfCo machine and it was very well prepared and ready to go - not a shed like some you might see...

Three tons on one tennis court ?

All
I've now located a Turfco F15B pedestrian operated top dresser. Has anyone used this machine?

Agree. Sounds a lot but the court has got a large surrounding area and covers a total of 800 sq m. Three tons works out at 3.75kg per sq m. Recommendations are in the range of 2-4 kg per sq m. I also tend to keep half a ton for additional repairs

Turfo F15B- works very well. Easy to operate and gives an even coverage.

I hired from TH White (I'm in Salisbury), google them, they have an online hire cataloge.
