If we lose now, we need lining up against a wall and shooting.
Hopefully, the boys can knuckle down and drill them into the ground and pile on a lead of 300+, then give mitchell johnson and brad haddin all the stick they've given our chaps, plus interest!

Looking good then. Pitch getting easier all the time though. Hopefully Swan can get something out of it second time arouund.
Id like to see one of these drop in pitches started from scratch and see how they do it.They are only about six inches or so deep I believe.

Climate and soil must be critical Barry, two have been trialled at Lords for several years now, without success i believe.

One thing that springs to mind is that with the drop in system you 'should' be able to totally manage the environment it's created in. So pretty much everything should be just about perfect. Other than financial reasons I can't see any reason why you can't manage light levels, moisture, humidity, everything in order to produce the perfect track.
So reading what they do, how and why would be of interest.

They ve obviously got conventional strips at the MCG but presumably consider the drop inn to produce a better pitch?
