Biannual Saltex
Has anyone else heard that Saltex could be held every two years instead of yearly? Apparently it could be held one year and the following year would be the show at Harrogate BTME. Any thoughts or comments?

saltex / btme
Saltex is always at the wrong time of year from our point of view, it's the busiest time for starters and too late in the year to influence people's decisions on what loams or dressings to buy for that season. Perhaps eventually everyone could come together for a midsummer (July/August?) show where visitors will have time and conditions on their side to visit stands and see demonstrations.

SALTEX / BTME
Mis-information, Michael. It is a few machinery suppliers who are mooting the possibility of exhibiting every other year at SALTEX and BTME -- ever decreasing margins in this sector means that their budgets cannot sustain participation at two shows annually (SALTEX and BTME). Meanwhile the two shows will continue to run annually.

most of the companies are not seeing economic return from doing two or more shows. other industrys have cut back to biannual shows so i think you'll see this happen soon with ours or you'll see more companies pulling out, as is already the case.
