Message Board - Machinery: Toro maintainance

6 Apr 2011 by EDDIE G

My Cricket club have just bought a Toro 5600d Fairway mower. As I will be looking after it in the coming years. Is there any one who runs and maintains Toro fairway mowers that can give me some practical experiance of general jobs (cylinder set up,things to look for and servicing.) I find hands on better than trying to read and totaly understand manuals.
I am in the midlands and am prepaired to traval.
Eddie.

Hi Eddie,
Strange that you should enquire on here about a 5600 and on golftechs about a 6500? Don't think you can complain about the lack of information though, more than you can swing a cat at. lol
The Americans are very helpfull as you can see. Grass is different all around the world but nuts and bolts are largely the same.

Hi Cal.
Yes a mistake on my part. I don't know why I put a 5600d on here, when I have bought a 6500d. I agree the Americans are more than helpfull. As I said in my post I find being shown how to do some thing easier to take in. and once shown the manuals become easier to understand.
Do you know anyone who can help me?
Regards Eddie.

No Eddie, 'fraid not, but a call to your local dealer will help you find a local owner. Doesn't mean the owner can help you though but the dealership might.
