Message Board - Football: Verti Drain

23 May 2011 by darren whiley

Hi all, we are looking for some one to verti drain our pitch in the next few weeks if we get any rain to soften the ground. Any ideas on who to use in the Luton area? Our previous contractor has retired. Agri Power have just messed me about so wont be using them!

Take a look at the story on the home page... the RFU have tractor / soil reliever combos located at 14 clubs around the country that are available for hire.

I think it only applies to clubs and RFU affiliated members? That was my understanding of it anyway.

You could try your local Groundsman association to source local contractors.

You could hire the kit from Browns at leighton Buzzard and do it your self. Or try Boughton loam contracting division. A. T. Bone
near St. Albans may do it.

As Martin says Browns. I think they are brilliant!. also asking a greenkeeper, if you have a golf course near by you?
