Message Board - Machinery: Blade damage

Avatar: Parson Russell Terrier 5 Jul 2011 by tonybolton

Bottom blades and cylinders are often damaged by metal objects such as cricket spikes passing through them. This is often a costly repair and leaves the machine out of commission for some time. Just a thought but would a strong magnet at ground level in front of the front groomer/roller not pick up these foreign objects before the damage is done. It's not something I've seen but maybe a manufacturer could pick up on the idea, would it work.?
