Message Board - Bowls: caste off

how much caste off do you mix with 50 litres of water?
Dose 50 litre cover half a bowls green

Its 4lt/h so it works out 750ml for 50lt of water.

My maths are poor its roughly 312.5ml in 50lt of water.
This is worked out at using 600lt/h of water.

how big is your green????

that will dicatate how much you need, as will your sprayer output, how fast you walk.

Have you calibrated your sprayer???

Bowlerman, i am about to make myself unpopular but, if you had a licence you would not need to ask the question. This where are profession of part timers lets us down.

Also mate :- Do you need to spray the whole green. At a club i once worked at we controlled the worms very effectively so that after a couple of Autumn and Spring apps we only used to get the odd caste here and there so just "Spotted" the individual caste.

But "Grassman" is dead right. Not a question if you have a licence and if you ain't.... Not summat for this M B.

Erm, the amount of active needed isn't governed by the amount of water.
Me thinks a refresher course might be in order.
