4-STADIUM ARCHITECHTS WHO GET PAID MILLIONS TO GET IT WRONG(ALMOST EVERY TIME) AT LEAST THEY ARE CONSISTENT.
5-GROUNDMEN WHO DON'T DO ANY HANDS ON AND SWAN UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY FROM ONE CONFERENCE TO ANOTHER WITH A FINGER IN EVERY MR KIPLING GOING.

9-GROUNDSMEN/SALESMEN WHO PROMOTE BOTH PLASTIC AND NATURAL TURF DEPENDANT UPON WHICH WILL NET THEM THE MOST INCOME.
10-PEOPLE WHO WALK ON THE PITCH JUST TO MAKE A MOBILE PHONE CONVERSATION AND THINK THEY ARE INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT USUALLY HAPPENS AFTER SPRAYING IRON.

Things I love.... When you have just finished striping up a pitch and look back at it, and it looks quality.. a little pat on the back to yourself.
Or watching a match and the bounce on your wicket is spot on, outfield looking good, etc.
All though this is not alway the case!!!!!

hates and loves
hate when opposing skipper looks at your wicket and say " i think you should have done this or that to the wicket" love proving them wrong.................. agree with toby, self satisfaction, ( no dirty minded comments please) but when you see a ground looking in tip top conditionits a good feeling.
im now an ex groundsman but hey old habits die hard

A cricketer or hanger on coming up to you while you are standing next to your turf cricket wicket on match day and saying,"theres a bit a grass on it mate, or its a bit green", or an umpire saying "which way does the weather come from cobber"

supporter groundsman
this last weekend we had the local derby in our league (ecb notts prem) the opposition tend to bring about 60-70 oid farts with them, then at tea when your trying to brush roll and re-mark they decend like locusts, get in ya way and turn into grumpy old farts when you ask them to move so you can get on with the job in hand and each with a view of what they would have done or not done.........GRRRRRRRRRR. This on a track that as yieled close on 300 runs and 9 wickets. sorry to harp on but folks who bring dogs to the ground and dont pick up after them. Make eel like going round and sh**ing on their front lawn
