Hello , we have
drawn the second winner in the Technical Merit Award
2003. I'm afraid that it wasn't you, but congratulations
to Andy Dixon from Guildford
in Surrey, whose name we drew out of the hat,
and who has chosen to go on a Paintball
Extravaganza. He runs Allen House grounds in Guildford
town centre, a 19th century walled garden comprising
a bowling green, 18-hole putting green and ornamental
gardens. The correct answers to March's questions are
posted here,
and a selection of the best topical issue answers will
be online shortly.
The April stage of the Technical Merit Award 2003 in
association with Tillers
Turf is now underway, and already entries are coming
in. You have until the 30th April at midnight to answer
8 multiple choice questions, and optionally the topical
issue question. You will receive one free entry into
the monthly draw for each multiple choice question that
you answer correctly, and the prize is to be chosen
from this
list. If you choose to complete the topical issue
question, your answer will be read by our panel
of judges, and you stand a chance of winning the
Technical Merit Award 2003 and a luxury all-inclusive
£2000 holiday.
If you know your root zone from your aeration and your
clay from your grass, or even if you don't - you might
surprise yourself - get over to the April page of the
competition
site. Full details about the competition are available
there, information about the rules,
judges
and all the
prizes.
