A 1-day, theory-based course, designed particularly for the volunteer or part-time groundsman who is involved in the maintenance of rugby or football pitches. The course would also be useful for someone interested in developing a career as a groundsman.
It aims to provide comprehensive knowledge of all the operations required to produce a safe playing surface, with advice and information on the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment used to maintain the pitch throughout a 12 month period.
The course manual, a copy of which is given to each delegate, includes working diaries showing the range of tasks needed to be accomplished each month.
The course costs £120.00 + VAT per person which includes the course manual, refreshments and lunch. Each delegate receives a Lantra Awards Certificate of Attendance.
