Welcome to the January Newsletter

Dave Saltman
I am delighted to announce that our 30,000th member joined the fold this week. This is not only a fantastic achievement for us, here at PC Towers, but to all the existing members who have contributed so much to our ongoing knowledge. Membership has continued to grow at a great rate of knots and we will look forward to the day that the 50,000th member signs in.

It was a personal shame for me not to attend the Harrogate Show this year, the birth of my baby son taking precedence. That said the feedback from my staff and Industry colleagues was that it was a super show, offering everything for the turf amateur and professional.

2008 looks like being a very exciting year already and while I ease myself into fatherhood, be rest assured that all of us at Pitchcare are working very hard to improve the quality and range of our services to you the members.

Best wishes,
Dave Saltman

New from John Deere

8800 TerrainCut
Harrogate Week saw the official UK launch of John Deere Golf Irrigation, initially to introduce a new line of John Deere replacement heads, rotors, valves and accessories for existing irrigation systems. This comprehensive line of compatible parts will be available through selected John Deere dealers in 2008.

Other machines making their UK debut at the show included the 8700, from the all-new range of PrecisionCut fairway mowers, and the 7400 and 8800 rotary mowers in the new TerrainCut range. Due to be commercially available this summer, the 7400 TerrainCut trim & surrounds mower is a brand new concept machine developed following extensive customer feedback in Europe and the US. This features an innovative system that allows the operator to adjust the working width of cut from 172 to 188cm (68 to 74in) while on the move.

New 0% finance deals from John Deere Credit are still available on all new golf course equipment and commercial mowers, but hurry – all offers end on 29th February 2008.

John Deere is also pleased to be sponsoring the new BIGGA Online Training & Development Manual, which was launched at Harrogate – further details of this valuable tool for BIGGA members can be found on the Association’s website at www.bigga.org.uk
