| Welcome to our January Newsletter |
Not the best of starts to the new year with the snow and ice causing major problems for all our sporting venues. Even race meetings on the, supposedly, all weather tracks were cancelled.
And, apparently, there's more bad weather to come, which will be a disaster for many of the smaller clubs who need revenue coming in at this time of the year. Let's hope the forecasters are as accurate as they were when they predicted last year's barbecue summer!
From Pitchcare's point of view we are gradually getting into the swing of things. This year we are rolling out a whole host of new Lantra Awards accredited training courses. Information about February's courses are detailed just to the right of this column.
The new one day courses include Artificial Surfaces Maintenance, Bowls and Cricket Pitch Maintenance, and are aimed at helping groundsmen to understand the basic requirements and operations that are needed for producing a safe playing surface. In addition to our planned courses, we are more than happy to run them at your own venue with your own team. Just give us a call on 01902 440256 and we'll do the rest.
Regards
Dave Saltman |
