Welcome to our July Newsletter

Dave Saltman
What a desperate time many of our colleagues have had, and are still having in some areas. This summer has been a complete disaster for so many and, even if we get some decent weather in the next month or so, the grounds and facilities will be nowhere near ready for use.

We have posted some flood warnings and news on the website, and we will continue to keep you informed of any advice or updates as they are received.

We are helping wherever we can. Pitchcare is involved in a seminar with the Yorkshire Cricket Board, at Headingley at the end of August, for groundsmen affected by the floods, with renovation advice and information. Also, with the support of several industry companies, we are helping a local cricket club in South Yorkshire, Oughtibridge, with their repairs.

Any help you can offer to your less fortunate colleagues, I'm sure, will be much appreciated. These are the times when we need to pull together more than ever.

Good Luck
Dave Saltman - MD, Pitchcare

Magnum Co

Magnum Co
Magnum co, the new wetting agent from Indigrow, combines the power of RePhlex with potent ingredients to clean sand particles by flushing unwanted waxes, hydrocarbons, salts and minerals through the soil profile. This results in a soil open to water and air penetration greatly improving the health of turf.

Magnum co contains solvents which dissolve and remove waxy particles. It contains non-ionic surfactants which coat soil particles ensuring continued free percolation of water.

The acid replacement component, RePhlex, which is contained within Magnum co, liberates natural free calcium which is available to feed the plant, flush unwanted salts from the soil profile and open up soil pores for better drainage and aeration.

Magnum Co is a curative wetting agent and should be used as the initial application in a programme with protectant wetting agents such as Magnum Calibre or Magnum Citrique.
