Training Update
As you will have seen from the Training Supplement in the current issue of the Pitchcare Magazine, we are continuing to develop relationships with colleges and other training providers in order to bring the widest range of quality training courses to our members throughout the UK.
We are already including on our website some courses offered by our associates – take a look at the “Booking Now” section on the training pages and contact us if you would like further information on any of the courses listed.
During the autumn and winter we shall also be able to provide Pitchcare training courses to groups of 4 or more candidates, so why not encourage your colleagues to train with you and we will tailor a course to meet your needs. Many courses can be run at clients’ facilities, thereby minimising travelling time and inconvenience.
In particular, I’d like to draw your attention to our
Essential Management Skills Course
A two-day Management Course for Head Groundsmen, Head Greenkeepers and their Deputies. Designed and delivered by trainer and careers counsellor, Frank Newberry.
Location: LEICESTER TIGERS Rugby Football Club
Thursday 15 November 2007 and Thursday 21February 2008
£295.00 + VAT all inclusive
Southampton's Dave Roberts (facing) and Graeme Mills at the last EMS Course.
Frank is a regular contributor to the Pitchcare magazine and has trained Groundsmen and Greenkeepers for more than 15 years. This course is aimed at helping those in a supervisory or management position to acquire a range of vital management skills and successfully implement them in the workplace.
Unlike generic management training, Pitchcare’s course has been developed specifically to suit groundsmen and greenkeepers. Three months separate the two days so delegates have the opportunity to implement new techniques and then feed their experiences back to the group.
Attendance certificates will be provided to delegates who complete the course.
To book your place, go to the “Booking Now” area in the training section of the Pitchcare website.
