Winter Sports Maintenance Course Carlisle United FC

Specifically for volunteers and part-time groundsmen working at a local football or rugby club.

This one day course is being held at Carlisle United Football Club on Thursday 24th April.

Training
The course instructor is Dave Saltman, one of the most respected Groundsmen and lecturers in the industry. Managing Director of Pitchcare, Dave is former Head Groundsman at Wolves, Derby County and Northampton Town; former Project Manager at the Millennium Stadium; Nationwide Groundsman of the Year; and judge for the Football Association and Rugby Football League.

You will learn about the skills required for winter sports pitch maintenance, including: -

* Mowing
* Scarification
* Aeration
* Fertiliser application
* Watering
* Rolling
* Renovation
* Marking out the pitch
* Care of the outfield
* Maintenance of non-turf pitches
* Health & Safety and safe working practices

In addition, you will receive a comprehensive manual of the day's training which includes an easy to follow month by month annual maintenance schedule.

The cost of the course is £85 plus VAT, and includes lunch, refreshments, the working manual and a Pitchcare Certificate of Attendance.
