Dear , we have drawn
the first winner in the Technical Merit Award 2003.
Congratulations to Brian Phillips from
Swanley in Kent whose name we drew
out of the hat, and who has chosen a Champagne
Hot Air Balloon Flight. Brian's the Head Groundsman
at St. Olaves Grammar School in Orpington. The correct
answers to February's questions are posted here,
and a selection of the most impressive topical issue
answers will be online shortly.
The March stage of the Technical Merit Award 2003 in
association with Tillers
Turf is now underway, and already there are many
entries. You have until the 31st March at midnight to
answer 8 multiple choice questions, and optionally the
topical issue question. You will receive a one free
entry into the monthly draw for every multiple choice
question that you answer, and the prize is a choice
from this
list. If you choose to answer the topical issue
question, your answer will be read by our panel of judges,
and you stand a chance of winning the Technical Merit
Award 2003 and a luxury all-inclusive £2000 holiday.
For March's competition, we have also introduced a
feature that allows you to edit your answers, so that
you can answer the multiple choice questions and come
back at a later date (but before the end of the month)
and answer the topical issue question. Follow the instructions
on the competition page to do this.
Full details are on the competition
site.
