Hello .

Last month we said that nature has its own way of redressing the balance. After the dry early spring, the summer sports are underway, the winter sports pitches are being renovated, and it has done little else but rain - typical isn't it!

May is a busy month with the crossover of sports, so to save you time and make sure that you don't miss out on anything, Pitchcare brings you the latest breaking news from Groundsmen and Greenkeepers up and down the country as well as the newest Industry updates. To keep you up to speed there are daily articles, press releases and industry offers all just a click away. And there's no need to worry, if you haven't got time right now, nothing is deleted - so you can come and browse whenever you like.

According to our forecasters, better weather will be with us towards the end of next week!

Dave Saltman
Managing Director, Pitchcare

Ultraplant Top Dresser

Ultraplant Top Dresser

They know a thing or two about growing grass in Ireland. They also know about protecting it while keeping it green and healthy, which means free from thatch and disease. People in the know tell you it’s not called the “Emerald isle” for nothing.

Knowing about green grass also means knowing the value of effective top dressing. It’s probably the worst kept secret, yet for all that it is vitally important, since every Greenkeeper knows that regular dressing is the only way to maintain true healthy turf over long periods, while to ignore the process is to court disaster.

So, it will come as no surprise to learn that the very best machinery for applying top dressings comes from the Emerald Isle itself, actually manufactured in County Tyrone, where Ultra Plant have designed, refined, and thus perfected a wonderful range of top dressers.
