A genuine Scottish pebble, encompassing attractive pastel colours and a smooth texture. Quarried from ancient forests grow on land that once formed the pre-historic coast of northern Scotland. These beautiful stones have been fashioned over millions of years by the tireless motion of the Moray Firth and River Spey.
Each cobble is unique, displaying its character through pleasing variations in colour, shape and texture. In a spectrum from sparkling white to jade black, encompassing perfectly smooth spheres through to roughly textured ovoids.
Commitment to the environment
Pitchcare care passionately about the environment and as such make every effort to work in partnership with environmentally friendly companies and quarries.
These pebbles are sourced from a quarry that has commissioned a badger survey to secure the safety of the local endangered population. Environmental experts have also helped to develop quarrying techniques that lead to the formation of natural wetlands, forming a natural habitat for Morayshire's varied flora and fauna. Trees and shrubs are also planted to further encourage birds and ducks to the area.
