Drop spreaders, as the name implies, release the material in a strip immediately below the hopper, particularly useful for use as a garden spreader when applying granular herbicides or fertiliSers against shrub beds. A drop spreader can also be used to accurately distribute top dressing or sand for lawn renovations.
