Liquid Iron & Turf Hardeners
The majority of liquid applications are to provide good colour without the accompanying growth that comes with a fertiliser application. This tends to be done at times of the year when turf is susceptible to disease and young turf in particular if forced with excessive nitrogen comes under attack from turf diseases. The Iron acts to harden the plant off and provide the aesthetically pleasing dark colour so often sought.
Different products contain formulations that have varying longevity. The better forms are chelated as the iron will not go on to create potential problems but be broken down naturally.
