The Particle Size Distribution (PSD) test will determine if topdressing material is compatible with root zone and if there are likely to be drainage problems with the root zone.

Nutrient analysis determines if the major nutrients P, K and Mg are present at adequate levels to sustain grass growth.

The PH level is important for certain species of grass and can affect the availability of key nutrients. Organic matter content is self-explanatory.
