Determines if a particular root zone and gravel are suitable for use together in a construction without an intermediate layer.

Also gravels can be assessed for compliance with the USGA recommendation when drains gravel and intermediate layer are used together with root zone above.

This is important for new green or pitch constructions as problems with the gravel layer/s can lead to overall poor drainage performance just the same as inferior root zone materials can.

Sample quantity required - 1kg.
