How Does it Work?
Banner MAXX is a DMI fungicide. It targets fungal pathogens inside the
plant – effectively preventing disease development by stopping energy
production in the fungal cell membranes. Damaging infection is, thus, prevented at the earliest opportunity, therefore minimising the visual effects and impact of disease attack.
Banner MAXX acts in three ways to minimise the effects of turf diseases:
- Preventative
- Curative
- Eradicant
Integrated Turf Management
Banner MAXX is an essential element of an Integrated Turf Management programme, which incorporates cultural control, careful risk assessment of disease attacks and accurate use of fungicides targeted at the right time to achieve the best results.
Alternating chemical groups and fungicidal modes of action are crucial in preventing the development of disease resistance.
Professional turf managers and agronomists can now achieve this from within the Sygenta Turf Fungicide portfolio, ensuring highly effective season-long disease control with a guaranteed assurance of quality ad reliability.
In countries where Banner MAXX is already approved it is a core product in the fungicide programme. Banner MAXX has proven highly effective as a quality turf grass fungicide, and an important part of the disease management programmes in delivering the ultimate playing surfaces.
Low-Volume Application
Banner MAXX is recommended for all application methods with water volumes from just 400L/Ha ensuring fast applications for optimum spray timing and minimal course disruption.
The low Banner MAXX application rate of just 3L/Ha reduces packaging volume, to minimise container disposal costs. One pack covers one hectare.
Banner MAXX Activity
The turf-safe MAXX formulation enables rapid uptake by plants, minimising disruption to mowing schedules and ensuring Banner MAXX applications are quickly safe from effects of rainfall or irrigation. Virtually all the active ingredient in Banner MAXX is absorbed within an hour of application – ensuring maximum efficacy within the plant and minimising risk of environmental loss.
Rapid systemic translocation of the Banner MAXX within the plant quickly moves the active ingredient to the site if any infection and ensures all leaves are protected from new attack.
After application, Banner MAXX continues to redistribute around the plant; moving up with new growth to keep new and old leaves protected from infection.
