I started to use some of this yesterday, fantastic product, I spread it on my aerated lawn and it's like watching little egg timers all over the surface, the top dressing just falls into the holes.
Only niggle....the content of these 40 bags were not as dry as the 40 I received a month or so ago......still usable but could have done with being a bit drier.
The product is very good and was just as described.
On 06-Nov-2014 the supplier responded: Service rating :Thank you for the kind feedback regarding the service you have received from our team and apologies for the problems encountered with your delivery. We have passed your comments to the haulier involved. Should you place future orders, please contact a member of our sales team who will be able to address any specific delivery requests and details you have.
Only problem was I lost two & half bags, there was surplus material around inner packaging but until it was unpacked & stored loss wasn't found, but overall very good.
On 27-Oct-2014 the supplier responded: We are sorry to hear about the damage to the items you have received. Our couriers take great care when handling all consignments but occasionally damage can occur - we advise all customers to check goods at the point of delivery and sign for goods as 'damaged'. We have contacted you directly regarding this matter.
Quality and composition of the dressing was better than I expected for the price. The smaller bags were easy to handle than the bulk option and the dressing was easy to spread using a mechanical spreader, being bone dry. Very pleased.

On 28-Oct-2014 the supplier responded: Service rating :Thank you for your feedback. We would like to offer our apologies for the delay you experienced with this order. At the time your order was placed our system falsely indicated that stock was available. This was a system error which has subsequently been corrected by our IT team. A member of our sales team offered an alternative product for you which we hope you are pleased with the performance?
Last year I had a horrible experience with another supplier of supposedly good reputation. The dressing was soaking wet making it impossible to use until it had dried out in my garage for 12 months.
Pitchcare, in contrast, were a joy to deal with. They guaranteed that the dressing would be dry. It arrived bone dry and thoroughly mixed and was very quick and easy to apply.
The dressing works well but over a third of the bags were ripped. The bags were made of soft plastic which you could push your finger through as if they were made of tissue paper. Pitchcare replaced the lost product without any hassle though.
On 11-Nov-2014 the supplier responded: Product :Thank you for your feedback. We are pleased to hear you were happy with how your complaint was resolved by our team. Our top dressing is packaged using an industry standard, quality bag. Unfortunately, when transporting top dressing, damage does very occasionally occur during but if goods are signed for as damaged on accepting delivery and reported promptly by our customers within 24 hours, we will be able to easily and officially solve any problems.
On 11-Nov-2014 the customer
changed their rating and
added: I hear what you say about the bags, but challenge the words "very occasionally". The replacement bags were both ripped and the carrier had put them in a large box which was taped up to stop further leakage all over his truck!. I would respectfully suggest that damage is therefore routine and you should consider using tougher bags. Good legs but shame about the face!.
As an amateur gardener I was not sure what to expect. I ordered 25 kg bags which are easy to move and store and have used up half the topsoil. It is very fine and relatively easy to apply and although too early to tell I am sure it will improve my lawn.
