The picturesque Baldock Town Bowls Club was formed in 1952 and has around 75 members with a split of 77% male and 23% female players. Sportsturf Manager Alan Russell maintains its bowling green. Since the mid 90's the club have used a standard Lloyds Paladin, which was recently upgraded to a new 21" TG model. The demonstration by Lloyds Operative Alan Roden clinched the deal, which is Local Authority funded.

President Gordon Turner commented that the Lloyds machinery had always been a solid and reliable element of their overall greens maintenance programme. They had no hesitation in staying with the Lloyds brand and were impressed by the new 21" groomer machine. Several Hertfordshire County 'Under 30' matches are held there and will benefit from the improved finish that the new Paladin will provide.
