Major multi-tasker offers mowing versatility
Major Equipment has launched its new Verge Major mower, which brings a new definition to operator versatility and fuel savings thanks to its unique design and layout.
Available in three working widths of 1.35, 1.98 and 2.6 metres, the Verge Major features a rotary deck which can be hydraulically angled from minus 45 degrees up to plus 96 degrees. This makes it suitable for cutting hedges, ditches, banks or verges, especially with the standard hydraulic 1.56m offset.
Using rotary blades means that power usage is lower than equivalent width flail machines, with over 30 per cent savings on fuel use possible. Full width rollers front and rear ensure a neat finish and consistent height, which is adjusted by a simple spanner adjustment. Standard is Major's patented blade system which retracts blades up upon hitting obstructions, saving gearboxes and the driveline.
Prices start from £7,500 plus VAT (RRP) for the 1.35m OSM-1400 model.
