Campey/Imants generously donated the use of an Imants ShockWave for a year, to the STMA charity auction on behalf of SAFE a charitable foundation for the promotion of Safer Athletics Fields Environments.

The auction was held during the STMA conference and the lucky winner was Mr Rodney Hopkins President of ITAC Turf Inc.; a Virginia-based Turf-field construction and maintenance company.

SAFE is the charitable arm of America's Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA). It was created in December of 2000 to provide research, educational programs and scholarships geared to the sports field profession.

Campey Imants are both very active in the promotion of machinery for sports turf renovation and maintenance of natural sports turf. This fits in perfectly with the mission statement of SAFE: 'To enrich communities through championing safe, sustainable sports and recreation fields for all athletes.'

"The Imants ShockWave is one of many of our products which enhance the condition and safe playability of natural sports turf surfaces," explained Sales Director for Campey Turf Care Systems Simon Gumbrill "We are happy contribute to anything that raises the awareness and encourages best practise at all levels of sport.
