The Course Care Cup 2016 - Wessex Managers versus South Coast Greenkeepers

This year the annual Course Care Cup was held at Rushmore Golf Club on the Dorset/Wiltshire border between Salisbury and Blandford Forum and, despite the prospect of rain for most of the week, the weather on the day was splendid.

Thanks were paid to Jamie Acton and his team of greenkeepers; the course was in first class condition.

The Greenkeepers were determined to regain the cup from the Managers after losing it two years ago. It was not to be their day however and the Managers retained the trophy for a third year, the final score being 3 ½ : 1 ½ .

Consolation for the Greenkeepers however came by way of a splendid evening meal and drink in the clubhouse afterwards which everyone enjoyed.
