Trio of TYM Tractors for Edgbaston GC

Birmingham's renowned private members golf club, Edgbaston, has invested in three TYM tractors as part of a larger deal with turfcare equipment providers Lely UK.

The club, which enjoys a unique parkland setting just a mile from the city centre, has taken delivery of a T353, T503 and T603 in a £1/2m investment that includes 19 of Toro's mowers and Workman utility vehicles.

Spanning five years, the deal is set to address all maintenance requirements at Edgbaston, ensuring its challenging natural parkland course is maintained in perfect condition throughout the seasons.

Course manager Eddie Mills comments on the club's investment in TYM. "I am really happy with my machines; TYM are the best for all-round value in the market," says Eddie.

The T353 model features a 35hp four-cylinder Mitsubishi engine, dual dry air cleaner and excellent turning radius with maximum traction. For a more compact tractor that's ideal for big jobs, Eddie went for the T503, with foldable ROPS, projection headlamps, dual air filter and hydrostatic power steering.

One feature that Eddie and his team particularly appreciate is the spacious cabs that TYM tractors have and the T603 is no different with a comfortable open ergonomic cab. "It's great to have comfortable, spacious tractors to use; it makes it much more enjoyable to ride," says Eddie. Other features of the T603 include a 50 degree turning angle, optional powershuttle, 60hp, 18.48 gallon fuel tank, and, like the T503, dual air filters and foldable ROPS.

Following a demo of the TYM tractors, Eddie says he was confident they would complement the club's Toro purchases.

"The TYM tractors are great companions for the Toro machines we have at Edgbaston Golf Club, offering us great support and reliability. They provided substantial help through the winter months and will come in very useful with future construction planned for the club and course," he adds.
