Wessex ATV Sprayers - Spray time

Wessex Sprayer
Once the weeds start appearing you want to deal with them quickly and efficiently and an ATV mounted sprayer is the choice method for many landscapers, groundsmen and farmers.

Accuracy is important, especially where spraying is adjacent to conservation areas for example, and durability in your sprayer is paramount. One of the most popular choices in mounted sprayers are the Wessex SS Sprayers with their heavy-duty 55 litre rotomoulded tanks and a variety of pump options to suit the width of boom.

The design is clever, with standard and offset nozzles and anti-drop valves giving an even spray of chemicals from 1.5m to 5m and you can choose from five different booms and three pump sizes. One particularly important feature is that Wessex SS Sprayer booms are kept within the width of the ATV, so there is no snagging on posts, trees or other objects, and the boom height is adjustable.

An in-line suction filter and gauze on the pipe are designed to prevent pump contamination. All models come with a hand lance and hose as standard for spot spraying and there's a handy lance clip to hold the lance securely when it's not in use. A brass quick-release fitting lets you easily change from boom to lance spraying.

The unit itself has built-in lifting handles so it's easily mounted onto the ATV where it is held in place with the straps kept in position in moulded strap guides. The Whale pump used in the sprayers is said to be twenty percent more efficient on the draw from the battery than other types of pump and the tough, rotomoulded tank is easy to clean. All of which makes life that bit easier.
