R13508 Sports Groundsperson
This full time post is available from immediately on a permanent basis.
Summary of the role/position
Based in the Grounds Sports Department the post will be primarily based at our Topsham and Duckes Meadow sports facilities covering a range of grass turf sports and will be involved in maintaining and presenting turf sports pitches for winter and summer sports.
General tasks of the position will include setting up and inspecting playing surfaces to the highest standards, line marking and setting out pitches using a variety of equipment, such as ride-on cylinder mowers and tractor powered mowers, cricket square preparations and maintenance.
You should be able to display experience in the maintenance, inspection and marking of sports pitches and grounds to a high standard. You must also be able to demonstrate knowledge of the safe operation of a range of grounds and sports maintenance machinery, equipment and tools.
You must be able to work flexibly as part of a team or under your own initiative and provide evidence of good customer care.
The appointment will be on a 5 over 7 day working pattern which will include working weekends.

Starting at £17,408 progressing to £19,202 on Grade C, depending on qualifications and experience.
