with progression to £23,391.00 pa

Wakefield Grammar School Foundation has an exciting opportunity for a Groundsperson to join the Estates Team on a full-time basis with an immediate start date.

The successful candidate will support the Grounds Manager in the maintenance of sports playing surfaces, conservation and enhancement of the estates ground, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.

Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and have proven grounds experience in a similar role. A knowledge of horticultural, landscaping and sports turf maintenance, basic computer skills, a full and valid UK driving license and experience of driving a tractor and machinery used to prepare and maintain sports turf are all essential.

The post is full time and all year round, working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. There will also be a requirement to work additional hours (evenings and weekends) as necessary during busy periods, dependent upon the requirements of the Foundation.
