Since launching 10 years
ago, Pitchcare as a business has seen rapid progress and
improvement of standards in our industry. Communication, education
and co-operation between fellow professionals has been core to this
success, ensuring the UK flies the flag with turf presentation and
performance in stadia, golf courses, and a spectrum of sports
playing surfaces.
During this time, Pitchcare
itself has expanded and adapted to the meet the needs of our
members and business, ensuring free communication and education is
accessible to all levels of turf care professionals. In-conjunction
with our partner companies we are throwing an open invite to
groundsmen, greenkeepers and all turf care professionals to visit
our 25,000m2 site and see the workings and team behind
our multi-faceted operation.
We are incorporating
principles at the heart of the Pitchcare ethos, education,
co-operation and fun with relevant skills and activities to all
involved in turfcare, what-ever the sport or level. So we are
giving you the 10 best reasons to attend our Open Day at the
Maxwell Amenity site on July the 5th:

Training & Skill Demonstration Seminars
Throughout our Open Day we will be
running eight different Turfcare Skill learning sessions/working
demonstrations. Each learning session/demonstration will last for
30 minutes taking place on various parts of the site and
neighbouring cricket square, football and bowls facilities. You can
now plan which learning sessions you would like to attend as we
have put together a schedule for training sessions running
throughout the day :
Anyone wishing to attend can arrive from 9am with skills learning
and activities commencing at 10am. Refreshments and BBQ lunch are
provided to all attendees.
3. FREE Prize Draw & Competitions
Byregistering onlinein advance and attending the day you
will automatically be entered into our random prize draw to win a
pallet of free turfcare products worth over £1000 (* T& C's apply)
for your club or business. Kick a ball at our editor Laurence Gale
as he takes part in our penalty shoot out competition or why not
try your luck at our closest to the pin golf
competition.
Soil
analysis is a vital tool used by modern turf managers. Bring along
a soil sample and we'll send it off for analysis FREE OF
CHARGE.
This will provide you with an insight
into what levels of vital nutrients are present. A subsequent
nutrient programme for your turf can be devised upon request
(limited to one per club \ or customer).

On arrival all customers will be
issued with welcome packs containing free samples, along with pens,
note pads,brochures and a
Pitchcare Magazine with sample goods worth over £10.

Dedicated Team
An opportunity for members to gain a
look behind the scenes at the organisation's diverse areas of
operation, including the magazine, website, trade store, and
training amongst other key areas.
7. Site Tours
Guided
tours of our 2.5 hectare site will be lead by members of staff
giving our customers the chance to look behind the scenes at
our business and key partners areas of
operation.
8.Professional Groundcare Machinery
Key partner companies showcasing
machinery and maintenance services are present. General and
cylinder regrinding demonstrations as well as equipment on display.
Equipment on show includes; Campey Turf Care, Etesia, Pellenc,
Lewis Equipment, Maruyama, Mankar, Sisis and much
more.
9. Earn Basis Points
Our company open day has been
structured to provide learning and relevant content for groundsmen
and greenkeepers operating at all levels and BASIS points, for
professional development are available to anyone attending. Just
complete the BASIS form on arrival.
10. Network With Fellow
Professionals
A wide range of industry
professionals will be attending the day, and it is your opportunity
to discuss practices and meet fellow turf care professionals form
grass roots level to international stadia managers.
