Combining useful technical information with outstanding photography is an extremely difficult task to accomplish but DLF Trifolium have responded superbly to the challenge with their new "Guide to Amenity Grasses".

The Guide includes sections on grasses with useful information covering shoot density, germination period and cutting heights as well as distinguishing features and special properties of the particular specie. This section is followed by "Fungal Diseases", their symptoms, hosts and when they occur and finally a section on "Pests", superbly illustrated in keeping with the rest of the guide.

"Grass identification and grass structure contributes to the overall usefulness of this Guide," explains Miranda Chambers, Marketing Manager for DLF Trifolium Ltd. "We hope it will be referred to as the 'Grass Bible' by landscape architects, contractors, groundsmen, technical advisors and students alike."

Every detail has been carefully considered from the contents, to the size and practical finish of each page, designed to be robust and withstand an outdoor existence. Many of the photographs are courtesy of the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) who have contributed with their expertise to the technical contents of the Guide.

The Guide to Amenity Grasses costs £5.99 plus postage and packaging and is available from DLF Trifolium. Telephone 01386 791102 or email amenity@dlf.co.uk to place your order. DLF customers can benefit from a free copy for a limited period. Contact your local distributor for details.
