A thank you to Groundsmen
Football Aid are a fundraising organisation allowing our Charity, Field of Dreams, to distribute grants to diabetes research, education and management related activities plus community charities nominated by our partner organisations (multi-beneficiary). We fundraise through designing, selling and managing a range of experiential products and related fundraising activities as part of Professional Football's Corporate Social Responsibility Agenda.
We have delivered 200 officiated Football games (our core product) on a UK Club, European and National stage enabling 6,000 players to "Live the Dream" - playing in an officiated 90 minute game on the hallowed turf of the Club they support.
In return, Football Aid has worked hard to prove itself worthy of the support and goodwill through 2004. We hosted events at 45 Clubs, managing 55 games and entertained 1400 participants to raise in excess of half a million pounds for Club and Partner charities. Key to the success of any Football Aid event is our use of the pitch; the hallowed turf, the most prized asset any one organization in Football can have.
All of us at Football Aid would like to repay that faith, thanking the groundsmen and women of all of the Football Aid Clubs for their support in 2004. Without the support of these people, there would be no Football Aid. Simply by granting Football Aid access to the pitch, supporters' dreams come true and Football Aid can continue fundraising for those who need it.
We hope that all the groundsmen of all the Clubs can give their continued support in 2005, growing and developing the fundraising possibilities of the Football Aid products. Their support to organizations such as ours, who rely on use of Football Clubs pitches, plays a major part in our success and as such, we hope that by way of this article, our gratitude is demonstrated.
Again, from all of us at Football Aid, a big thank you!
