0 Allett secure partnership with Edgbaston Stadium

Specialist lawnmower manufacturer, Allett Mowers, has secured a two year partnership agreement with Edgbaston Stadium, to be the famous cricket venue's official cylinder mower partner.

Allett is providing the Edgbaston groundstaff with six of its top specification cutting edge cylinder mowers for the 2013 season, during which the stadium will host five key matches, including the final of the prestigious ICC Champions Trophy, as well as domestic cricket's biggest day, Friends Life t20 Finals Day.

Austin Jarrett, managing director of Allett Mowers, comments: "Edgbaston is one of the world's most famous cricket venues and we're honoured to confirm an official partnership with such a prestigious venue.

"By working closely with Head Groundsman, Gary Barwell, and his team not only will we be able to gain more global exposure for the Allett brand and its products, but it will also allow us to develop closer links with Edgbaston's network of local cricket clubs and schools and help them in creating their own world class playing surfaces."

Gary Barwell, explains: "Allett Mowers is the market leader in cylinder mowers and ground care equipment so is the ideal partner for our team to ensure that the outfield and square at Edgbaston are prepared for matches to the highest standard possible.

Using a cylinder mower is the only way a perfect playing field can be achieved and with all eyes on Edgbaston this summer, with such a prestigious schedule of matches, having Allett equipment available to us will be invaluable."

Allett Mowers will also utilise Edgbaston's new conference and events facilities to host workshops for groundsmen of local cricket clubs. The workshops will include a presentation on all things grass, live demonstrations of Allett machinery, lunch and a talk from Edgbaston's Head Groundsman.
