Rebecca Bowaterin Industry News

Amenity Land Solutions (ALS) are hosting a free technical day on Wednesday 11th April in association with Pitchcare and BIGGA Midlands. The event will take place in the Warwickshire countryside at Nailcote Hall, the venue for the annual British Par 3 Championship.

There will be a number of technical talks on the day including one from James Grundy, Maxwell Amenity's Senior Technical Manager, on the importance of transparency with nutritional products and biostimulants, and he will be challenging users to really examine what is in the products they are buying and applying to sports surfaces. John Handley, Maxwell Amenity's Technical Manager, will be discussing the loss of iprodione, and why he believes that the withdrawal is the best thing for the turf care industry.

There will be a talk from Mark Allen, ALS' local based area Technical Area Manager, on his view of where the turf care industry will be 23 years from now, as well as a Q&A with Andy Richards, Grounds Manager at Shrewsbury School, on gathering important agronomic data using Davis Vantage Pro Weather Stations.

At the end of the seminar you are welcome to join John Handley (ecologist and agronomist) on a course walk with an ecology overview and plant ID. Alternatively, you can play 9 holes of golf on us with prizes awarded!

Please be aware that due to the size of the venue, places are limited to the first 40 to register. We hope you can come and join us on the day.
