Press Releasein Industry News
Econoplas manufacture a 'unique' drainage matrix product trademarked as Aquadyne. This innovative product has been chosen as Urban Mines' 'Product of the Month' for January 2007.

The Urban Mines 'Product of the Month' feature is designed to promote the wide range of practical and innovative recycled products available within the market place to the existing recycling industry and also to a wider market and audience. Through the feature, Urban Mines aims to bring Businesses together that may benefit financially and environmentally from the supply or receipt of waste materials appropriate to their business needs in order to divert waste materials away from landfill.

Econoplas process a wide range of post-use plastic materials which are extruded using a 'one of a kind' recycling method. These materials are then manufactured into Aquadyne, a unique, efficient and very versatile drainage matrix product which is used as a replacement for conventional aggregate drainage mediums and can be applied to large or small drainage management systems.

John Grindrod (commercial manager) says "the beauty of Aquadyne is that it performs better than conventional drainage materials plus it is simpler, lighter, quicker and easier to work with. In addition the environmental benefits of using the material are quite amazing: for every 200mts or 44sq.mts of Aquadyne used up to 2 tonnes CO2 emissions are saved. We have supplied the material to a surprising variety of customers including national parks, car park and footpath edgings, children's play areas, golf courses, green roof construction companies, water recycling processes, domestic lawns and gardens, football stadiums, storm water control systems, local authority amenity areas; we have even carried out drainage work on the dykes in Holland (who are considered to be world leaders in drainage technology)"

The Aquadyne product offers a sustainable solution to conventional drainage materials through the reduction in use of natural aggregate resources, exceptionally efficient recycling, the saving of CO2 emissions and the more efficient control and management of water resources.

Econoplas welcomes enquiries from any interested parties to investigate new initiatives for the use of Aquadyne. Contact Econoplas on telephone number 01723 586611, email to info@econoplas.com or visit www.econoplas.com.
