Barenbrug 2011 roads#3E9F52Specialist grass seed breeder Barenbrug has revealed details of its 12-month 2012 roadshow programme, which kicks off at Radley College in Oxfordshire this April.

Bringing Barenbrug's expertise and practical experiences direct to turf professionals, last year's seminar tour of the UK took in several key trial and customer venues to great acclaim.

But this year's programme promises to be even bigger and better! The Radley College pit-stop on 17 April will focus on grass seed solutions for sports like football, cricket and golf, before the Barenbrug team hotfoots it up to Scotland's Castle Stuart Golf Links the following day.

Here the spotlight will be on trial findings and the terrific performance of Barenbrug-bred fescues two years into an important trial being conducted at the home of this year's Scottish Open.

Other confirmed stops include the Turnberry Resort seminar on 21 August. With a new trial set to be sown there later this year, delegates will get a sneak preview of the initial findings as well as gain expert advice on seed choice and see specialist overseeding machinery in action.

Barenbrug will also pay a visit to Ballybunion Golf Club in County Kerry, where a sister trial to the Druid's Glen Golf Resort site in County Wicklow is underway. This seminar is a must for Irish golf superintendents keen to learn from the findings of these groundbreaking trials.

Commenting on the start of the tour, research and development manager Dr David Greenshields says: "We're thrilled to announce details of this year's roadshow. We have some great venues lined up and know from experience how valuable turf professionals find the events. Whether you want to find out about our latest trial results and practical findings, or gain firsthand insights from host venue's course and grounds managers and top guest speakers - there's something for everyone!"
