0 Bristol City bring in blowers to try and save cup clash

Bristol City have installed industrial hot-air blowers on the Ashton Gate pitch in a bid to save Tuesday's FA Cup third round tie against Cardiff.

Groundsman Craig Richardson and his staff laid protective covers on the playing surface several days ago and these have since been covered by snow.

City press officer Adam Baker explained: "The heaters will be positioned beneath the covers and will thaw the playing surface, which is currently frozen."
