Brocket 0095.jpgJohn Wells, Estate and Golf Operations Manager at Brocket Hall, has taken delivery of a selection of E-Z-GO electric utility vehicles for housekeeping and client transportation duties around the conference and golf course complex, from local dealer Ernest Doe and Sons. E-Z-GO is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

The Brocket Hall complex, set in 543 acres of mature parkland, features an international conference centre in the stately home, two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Faldo Golf Institute, Melbourne Lodge with 16 luxury bedrooms and Auberge du Lac restaurant.

"The facilities here are spread over a wide area and we need to get staff around the site in a comfortable and timely manner. We purchased three RXV electric vehicles for use by the fine dining teams at the Auberge, the Hall and in the golf clubhouse, with a fourth vehicle for the housekeeping team. They have all been fitted with a carry box manufactured to our specification. The RXV 4-Shuttle is used by the Hall events team for transporting clients during weddings, conference and other events.

"We selected electric vehicles for their environmental qualities. These are based on the recently launched RXV golf car and have many innovative features including longer battery life, a more comfortable ride and a fail-safe braking system. They are more cost-effective to run than petrol vehicles and we don't have the H&S issues associated with storing petrol. Because we have residential and conference facilities, noise is also an issue and these vehicles are almost silent."
