Kinross Golf Club in Fife, owned by the local laird Sir David Montgomery, has recently invested in a fleet of four E-Z-GO golf cars purchased from local Ransomes Jacobsen dealer, Fairways GM Ltd. So successful have they been that a further four have been ordered and are due for delivery in the spring.

The Club has also purchased an E-Z-GO Refresher vehicle to keep their members and visitors refreshed while playing the 36-hole golf complex which lies in beautiful, unspoilt parkland bordering Loch Leven. The two courses, the Bruce and the Montgomery, feature undulating greens, streams, ponds and enticing tree-lined fairways, providing challenging rounds to golfers of all abilities.

John Bashford is the course manager and he has been at the Club for almost 35 years. When he first arrived there was a single 9-hole course set in 30 acres. Today, the two courses encompass 200 acres with all the construction undertaken in-house.

John is responsible for the buggy fleet and says,
"The first four buggies arrived in April at the beginning of last year's season and have proved very cost-effective. They have not only provided an excellent return on investment; they have obviously proved very popular with the golfers.

"We opted for the electric powered buggies as they feature the latest on-board charging system, which means we can charge them from any 13 amp socket around the facility. This makes them very user-friendly to maintain and being electric there's very little routine maintenance required.

"We are so pleased with them, that we've ordered four more!"
