Bullet Phosphite and SeaAction – Steps to Tackle Plastic

Emma Brownliein Industry News

Maxwell Amenity have launched new 10 L packaging sizes for both Maxwell SeaAction and Maxwell Bullet Phosphite with the primary aim of reducing plastic wastage output.

Maxwell SeaAction, a fresh, cold pressed form of Ascophyllum nodosum natural liquid seaweed, has become an integral part of the Maxwell Biorational range of products.

According to Maxwell's Sales and Marketing Director Dan Hughes; "as more end users experience plant health benefits from using seaweed, produced in a way to maximise retention of its natural benefits, we are able to evaluate our packaging options to help minimise waste from 5 L empty containers. Although only a small step, this helps us adopt a wider strategy to assess our product packaging and help end users minimise waste."

Packaging for both the Maxwell SeaAction and Maxwell Bullet Phosphite is made from high density polyethylene, a recyclable material.

As Turf Managers increasingly adopt integrated pest management nutritional strategies, phosphite has established itself as a popular component within the armoury. Maxwell Bullet Phosphite (37%) is a super concentrated form of stabilised phosphite formulated to aid the plant in periods of stress.

For customers wishing to adopt the new packaging, we pledge to donate the difference in packing and label saving of approximately £3 when buying a single 10 L option compared to 2 x 5 L, to a plastic waste focused charity and initiative.
